A CHINESE GILT-LACQUER WOOD FIGURE OF A HORSERIDER.

Depicting an official on a horseback, holding his left arm raised in front of him, the right resting on his thigh, his robe and hat painted in red and gilt, the horse pressing forward intently looking beneath his hoofs, all supported on an integral rectangular stand, 30cm H.

Provenance: an English private collection since 1970s.
