Monika Wengraf was an art dealer and collector of ethnographic art and a member of the renowned Wengraf family, art connoisseurs who were originally from Vienna, Austria. Their gallery in Vienna and their London gallery, The Arcade Gallery, was the hub for curators from the British Museum, international gallerists and artists alike, from Egon Schiele in Vienna to Henry Moore in London. The gallery was known for selling Old Master paintings and sculptures, ancient, Indian and African tribal art. Monika and Peter Wengraf would continue to run The Arcade Gallery until 1991.
