AN ANTIQUE KIRGIZ NARROW KELLEH

The rust red field with single column of multicoloured large guls flanked by similar hald motifs at each side and small flowerheads. In camel beige border od serrated and checkered lozenges together with angular vine and small triangles, between flowering vine and barber-pole stripes, approx. 291cmx103cm Very nice example of tribal weaving. Design is well-drawn with very nice colour combination. This rug has very slightly corroded black in few places. Touches of wear to the top pile. Salvages rebound, well done. Ends seccured with a tape over. In general this piece in very good usable condition. Attractive.
