A GILT BRONZE PLAQUE OF LORD BYRON AS YOUNG SAILOR England, 19th century A bas-relief gilt bronze plaque portraying Lord Byron as a young sailor, wearing a long cravat, a soft collar shirt decorated with vertical bands and a pattern of interwoven diagonal lines, a single-breasted waistcoat decorated with abstract motifs and twirls all over the neck, the same floral twirls decorating the interior of the overcoat, the bust set within a circular wooden frame, the border carved into decorative concentric circles, 18cm diam.
