Ink, pencil, opaque pigments and white wash on paper, each drawing in a vertical format, comprising a bloomed iris flower with tall green leaves to its sides, set within three borders with gold vegetal scrollwork on purple and green ground, mounted, glazed and framed, 35cm x 28.5cm; and two drawings with the typical Persian topos of the rose and the nightingale (gol-o-bolbol), one with a lush bush of roses and berries, the latter more barren, with more emphasis given to the bird, each set within decorative borders on pink, grey and cream grounds, mounted, glazed and framed, the largest 46cm x 37cm.
