An early 20th century Chinese export silver bowl, Hong Kong circa 1920, marked Yong Sheng Long, retailed by Taylor and Co
Republic period. Of hemispherical form raised upon four cast acanthus C scroll bracket feet, with ring punched decoration. The body with cast and applied decoration of flowering prunus populated with birds, heightened with flat chased of similar. A vacant circular cartouche to the front. Gilt interior. Marked underneath with artisan mark 永盛隆 (YONG SHENG LONG), and retailer’s mark T&CO. Upon a carved hardwood stand.

Taylor & Co were a retail store with locations in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Tianjin (Tientsin). Yong Sheng Long was a workshop located in Hong Kong.
