A pair of George III sterling silver salvers, London 1786 by John Wakelin & William Taylor (reg. 25 Sep 1776)
Of plain circular form, with cavetto edge and moulded rim, raised on three reeded splay feet with ball terminals, the field centre engraved with a coat-of-arms quartered surmounted by a crest of a demi-pegasus winged with motto below Hos Gloria Reddit Honores, all between supporters of two savages wreathed about the temples and loins. Fully marked to the reverse. (2)

For Sir Francis Walker-Drummond, 2nd Baronet of Hawthornden (1781-1844). He was the son of James Walker of Dalry (1743-1817) and Jane Hay-Newton (d, 1792). He married Margaret Anne Forbes-Drummond (d.1876), daughter of Captain Sir John Forbes-Drummond, 1st Baronet (1746-1829) and Mary Ogilvie, on 4th January 1810. They resided at Hawthornden Castle, Country Midlothian, Scotland. The baronetcy became extinct in 1976.
