A large George I antique sterling silver sugar caster, London 1724 by Samuel Welder Of baluster form on a circular spreading foot the domed lid with finely pierced decoration, engraved with a crest of a dragon’s head couped between dragon wings out of a ducal coronet with motto below Immersabilis est Vera Virtu. Fully marked to the base and maker’s mark only to cover and marriage initials H over W.A and scratch engraved G.I 1724.
