PROVENANCE: signatures were obtained by the vendor's mother and grandfather. The latter was an Australian, Army chaplain in WWI, who then served in India (1917-1937), latterly as Archdeacon of Bombay. He was rector of Smeeth and subsequently Cranbrook in Kent, England, then Dean of Gibraltar from 1943 to 1945.
