A FINE 19TH CENTURY FRENCH EBONISED, IVORY, PEWTER AND STAINED TORTOISESHELL INLAID BOOKCASE / DISPLAY CABINET

in the Boulle style, decorated throughout with scrolling foliate cut brass inlaid with pewter, ivory and tortoiseshell stained in various colours, the upper section with a break-arch pediment centred by a gilt bronze bust of a maiden, with glazed panel doors and glazed sides enclosing two shelves, the lower section also with glazed panel doors enclosing a shelf,

262cm high x 123cm wide x 45cm deep

This lot is subject to CITES due to the ivory and tortoiseshell content.
