Of rectangular shape, resting on a plain flat base, the exterior presenting an extensively worn and damaged micro-mosaic khatam inlay with triangular pieces of bone, steel, ivory, stained wood, and Verdigris-stained bone, worked in star-burst shapes to cover top, sides and edges, the lid hinged, the interior once filled with compartments, now containing the loose remnants of those compartments and parts of the external decoration, 13.2cm x 43cm x 28cm.
