Opaque pigments heightened with gold on paper, comprising a small-sized square illustration depicting the Quranic character, Zuleykha in a golden carriage with a gilt parasol, followed by an attendant on a horse and others on foot carrying large gift-bearing baskets, inside her dowry, announcing her arrival with a trumpet, an illustrated scene from the Yusuf o Zuleykha in the Haft Awrang by Jami depicting Zuleykha's journey to Egypt to marry Joseph, the recto with two columns of bold, black ink nasta'liq script, 12.1cm x 11.5cm; a small-sized rectangular illustration with two men consulting a physician by a cave, 5ll. of black ink nasta'liq script to the page of poetry, the final quatrain a variant of Hafez's sonnet 474, 17.5cm x 11cm; a loose folio with a ruler in conversation with a courtly youth in the wilderness, four columns of 7-8ll. of black ink nasta'liq script, 26.6cm x 20cm; and a 20th-century Mughal-revival reproduction of the Hamzanama scene with Prophet Elijah (Al-Khidr) rescuing Nur Ad-Dahr from the sea, the recto with four columns of 25ll. of black ink nasta'liq script, an extract of section 9 The Kingdom of Darab from the Shahnameh, 28cm x 17.5cm excluding the mount.
