Two George III sterling silver cream jugs, London 1780 by Nathaniel Appleton & Ann Smith (reg. 26th July 1775)
Each of baluster form upon spreading circular bases with serrated beaded edges. The punch beaded rims leading to leaf capped double C scroll handles, the bodies with embossed decoration of foliage, each with an asymmetrical rocaille C scroll cartouche to the front, the larger later engraved with a crest of a plume of six ostrich feathers. Each fully marked near rim. (2)
