*** Rare. OCLC records only one copy. Benedetto Buommattei (1581-1648) was an Italian Presbyterian and grammar. He became a priest in 1608 and studied in Pisa and Florence, where he graduated in theology. He became a member of the Accademia della Crusca, where he later became secretary, and of the Florentine Academy), in 1632 he was appointed by the Grand Duke Ferdinando II Reader of Tuscan Language and Rector of the University College ‘Ferdinando of Pisa’.
