An early 20th century Chinese export silver dressing table box, Hong Kong circa 1920, marked He Gui, retailed Kwon Man Shing of Hong Kong
Republic period. Of rectangular form with a hinged lid, embossed and pierced decoration of Chinese dragons amidst clouds, chasing the flaming sacred pearl formed as vacant cartouches. Marked underneath with artisan mark 何癸 (HE GUI), numeral 90, and retailer’s mark KMS.
Length – 14.6 cm / 5.75 inches
Weight – 145 grams / 4.66 ozt
