Meiji period, circa 1900.

Seven woodblock prints comprising: two double sheets form triptychs, one by Nobukazu Yosai (1872 – 1944), a single triptych sheet by Mizuno Toshikata (1866 – 1908), four prints by Kiyochika Kobayashi (1847 – 1915) from the First Sino-Japanese War, together with two etchings by George Bigot (1860 – 1927), the French illustrator and cartoonist, the first titled Matelot, GBigot, the second Agent de police.
