AN EGYPTIAN BRONZE CROCODILE Late Period, Circa 664 - 332 B.C. The crocodile resting on a hollow shrine-shaped integral base, possibly a sarcophagus, with a long tail, wearing a headdress, 5cm long. Published: Anawati, Small Sculptures from Egypt XIX no.51. Provenance: Private collection of a lady, Rome, acquired from Anawati.
