AN ANTIQUE NORTH-WEST PERSIAN RUNNER

The shaded deep indigo field with overall design of various angular floral motfs, horizontal bars, lozenges and hooked leaves. In rust border of polychorme rosettes and stylised multtiple small rosette panels between ivory and light blue hooked leaf vine wide stripes. Outer plain stripes, approx; 437cm. x 123cm. Very nice example form this type with south Caucasian influence in design. This runner has slight wear to the pile, down to knot collar in places. Selvages rebound with fraying on cord edges in few places. Scattered small old repairs and small split towards one end. Ends with short fringes, slightly fraying. In general this runner is in fair usable condition. Despite imperfection, this runner still looks presentable.
