PERSIAN INTEREST, c.1860-70s, an album containing 14 carte-de-visite albumen prints, image sizes, 4” x 2¼”, subjects include, portraiture, photographers include, Abdullah Freres, R. Caracchian, Basil Kargepenlo, P. Sebah all of Constantinople, and F. W. Window of Baker St, sitters include Abdul Aziz Khan (1830-1876, Sultan of Turkey) and Murad V (1840-1904, 33rd Sultan of the Ottoman Empire who reigned from May 30th to 31st August 1876), Kostaki Musurus Pasha (1807-1891, Ottaman Ambassador), mounted back to back onto thick card supports, with photographer's studio stamps verso, bound in full green Morocco album with gilt edges and brass clasps
