A George III sterling silver mustard pot, London 1768 by Henry Green and Charles Aldridge
Of cylindrical ‘drum’ form, the hinged domed lid with incised concentric lines raised by a pierced square thumbpiece leading to a C scroll handle. The body with pierced decoration of a circular geometric pattern. The base and the lid cut with a spoon aperture to front. The lid later engraved with a crest of a unicorn’s head erased. Together with an Old English Bead pattern mustard spoon, London 1786 by Hester Bateman. Fitted with a removable blue glass liner. Fully marked underneath, the lid unmarked (patched).
