Southern India or Sri Lanka, late 19th century

Of typical X-like shape, resting on two rectangular bracket feet, with carved long hand rests with rounded ends and an open backrest with a lobed arch in the centre, the body carved with dense rosette and foliate trellis, 91.5cm x 73cm x 48.5cm.
