A Queen Anne Britannia standard silver mug, London 1710 by John Fawdry I (reg. April 1697)

Of tapering cylindrical form with a moulded foot and rim, two incised concentric lines near rim. The C scroll handle wit thumbpiece and with oval base plate junction. Engraved underneath with initials W*W over A*M. Fully marked to side of handle.

Height – 10.4 cm / 4.15 inches

Weight – 281 grams / 9.03 ozt

Grimwade 662: apprenticed to Anthony Nelme 16th Jan 1688, free 11th Sep 1695. Buried 16th Jan 1724.
