Mr Brainwash is known for his use of recognisable characters throughout his works. Here we see Albert Einstein holding a sign inscribed 'Love is the Answer'. Widely understood as the optimal figure of intelligence, the viewer of this work is made aware of the importance of this message, as something which Einstein himself literally proudly holds to be true.The monochromatic figure of Einstein represents a timelessness, while the bold and bright contrasting colours that dominate the canvas bring us to the present day. Love is the Answer captures many well-known motifs, from DC Comic’s Superman, Warhol’s Soup Cans and even Basquiat’s crown drawing viewers into the work.
