An early George II sterling silver bullet teapot, London 1730 by John Swift (reg. between May-Oct 1728)

Of spherical form upon a moulded spreading foot, the panelled octagonal spout with shaped junction opposite a fibre C scroll handle pinned to octagonal panelled sockets with shaped junctions. The disc lid surmounted by a detachable wood hemi-spherical finial. The upper section with an engraved band of lozenges centred with crossed. Fully marked underneath, the lid with lion passant only.
