Paladij Osynka (a pseudonym) was a Ukrainian nationalist in eastern Poland at the outbreak of WW2. Sent to Auschwitz, he was one of 40 Ukrainian political prisoners who managed to survive until the camp was freed by the Russians in 1945. This work is dedicated to the Ukrainian people.
