A Victorian sterling silver three-piece cruet set, London 1864/65 by George Fox
Comprising a mustard pot (1865) and a pepper caster and a salt caster. Each of bulbous form, the mustard pot with a hinged domed lid surmounted by an urn finial. The bodied with flat chased decoration of Burmese pattern, composed of Zodiac vignettes based upon Shan States silver. The casters engraved to the front PEPPER and SALT. Each engraved with a crest of a leopard’s head ducally gorged. Gilt interiors. Each fully marked, fully marked to lid bezels, part-marked to mustard pot lid. (3)
