A pair of George III sterling silver salts, London 1770 by William Cattell (reg. 2nd Feb 1771)
Of compress oval ‘cauldron’ form with gadrooned rim, raised on four pad feet with shell knees. Gilt interiors. Engraved with contemporaneous initials underneath F over P . C in Roman script. Together with a late 18th century unmarked silver cream pail, wirework frame with applied stamped fruiting vine. Fitted with removable blue glass liner. (3)
