A George III sterling silver sugar basket, London 1808 by John Edwards
Of campana form with a gadrooned rim upon a pedestal circular foot. Part-fluted lower section with a pierced upper section with embossed acanthus leaves below arches. Opposable swing gadrooned handle with a vacant rectangular cartouche to the centre. Fitted with a removable blue glass liner. Fully marked to foot edge.
