AN ITALIAN 18TH CENTURY GILT BRONZE CORPUS CHRISTI / CRUCIFIX the figure of Christ wearing a perizonium, with iron nails through the hands and feet, on a wooden cross with applied 'INRI' plaquette above, Christ 26cm high, 41cm high overall  The fine tooling to the surface of the perizonium, the detailed casting of features such as the toes and the classically inspired, strong physique of Christ indicate that this Corpus was produced in Italy during the mid 18th century.
