Silver Rosewater Sprinkler, India, 19th Century
The sprinkler carries devanagari inscriptions on base and neck saying 'Da. Ka. Modak.' It is an Indian tradition to carve one's names on the steel/metal products that they choose to gift. The sprinkler possibly holds the name of the initial gift giver.
