A LARGE CHINESE WHITE JADE RETICULATED ‘BUTTERFLIES' PLAQUE.

Ming Dynasty.

Of rectangular form with gently rounded ends, pierced with a jardiniere from which grow three large flower heads, with two attendant butterflies on either side, supported on wood stand finely carved and pierced in the form of bats among scrolling clouds, 4.7 x 12.7cm. (2)

Provenance: a French private collection.
