The faceted steel barrel with an octagonal profile, the upper section densely inlaid in gold with both calligraphic and vegetal scroll bands, most of the inscription in Turkish, numerals resembling a date close to the joint with the stock and possibly reading 1246 AH (1830), the tip of the barrel slightly everted, still attached to the damaged and broken tiger walnut stock of typical flaring shape, with an oval ivory pommel, the flintlock mechanism mostly missing and rusted, 128cm long.
