A pair of early George III sterling silver tea caddies, London 1763 by John Langford II and John Sebille (active 1763-70)

Each of inverted baluster form raised upon Rococo style openwork scroll feet with C scroll aprons. The sides with cast and applied decoration of trailing scroll terminating in crossed leaves. Each with a domed removable lid surmounted by a scroll husk shell section cornered with curling tendrils. Each fully marked underneath and with lion passant only to each lid bezel. (2)
