A pair of early George III sterling silver tea caddies, London 1762 by William Abdy I (reg. 24 June 1763, d.1790)
Each of rectangular form with curved shoulders with pull of panelled lids with gadrooned rims surmounted by detachable cast acorn and leaf calyx finials. The bodies with engraved decoration of ribbon tied floral swags. Each fully marked underneath, the lid with makers mark and lion passant only, the finials unmarked. (2)
