With a single-edged, slightly curved steel blade, with a thick, flattened spine, the ricasso engraved with cusped panels of Timurid-style interlocking rumi motif with vegetal and split palmette scrolls against a gold-damascened ground, the blade also gold-inlaid with a rectangular cartouche of faded inscriptions mostly in the form of auspicious blessings, the low-grade silver handle with the typical ear-shaped terminal enhanced with nielloed decorations featuring armourial compositions and rosettes, the tang also inlaid in gold with six-pointed stars, one of them bearing the 'Ya Allah' invocation in the centre, with a dark leather-lined wooden scabbard with nielloed silver fittings decorated with mosques and minarets, and a dragon-shaped tip, 77.5cm long including the scabbard.
