PRESENTATION COPY, INSCRIBED "Jo, From Betty May, 1930". May claimed to have joined a criminal gang in Paris and was associated with Aleister Crowley. With Annie Besant's An Autobiography. London: T. Fisher Unwin, 1893. 8vo. Frontispiece of Besant, 12 plates (minor scattered spotting, end papers browned). Original brown boards illustrated in gilt (some rubbing and wear). (2)
