A Victorian sterling silver four-piece tea and coffee service, Sheffield 1864 and London 1874 by Martin, Hall and Co
Comprising a coffee pot (Sheffield 1864), a teapot, a milk jug and a twin handled sugar bowl. Each of ovoid form upon an oval pedestal foot with an everted beaded rim. The pots with curved spouts opposite a reeded loop handle with ivory insulators pinned to a bifurcated acanthus junction. The hinged domed lids surmounted by detachable beaded compressed knop finials. Each with engraved decoration of laurel swags with floral pendants adjoined by ribbon tied rosettes, also with chevron or interlaced bands. The sugar with a gilt interior. Each fully marked and part-marked. (4)
