TWO ALASKAN INUIT CEREMONIAL MASKS, the first made from reindeer skin and fur, forming the face of a male hunter with a fur hood, the second made from Alaskan red fox, over a face-formed reindeer skin mask. (2)

Provenance: Both were acquired in the 1960's by the current owner, from Inuit artisans in Alaska.
The Alaskan red fox mask is marked as being made by 'Elijah Kakinya of Anaktuvuk Pass, Alaska'.
