A George III sterling silver salver, London 1803 by William Bennett (reg. 1 June 1796, died 1825)
Of circular form with a cavetto edge with reeded rim, all raised on three reeded splay feet. The field centre engraved with a crest of a roster encircled within a Greek key cartouche, the field edge with a band of Greek key. Fully marked to reverse.

Weight – 575 grams / 18.49 ozt
Bennett was a specialist salver and tray maker, at 2 Half Moon Passage, Aldersgate Street until 29th Sep 1800 after which he moved to 19 Little Bartholomew Close.
