Opaque pigments on cream cardboard, the horizontal composition depicting the first Sikh Ruler, Maharaja Ranjit Singh (13 November 1780 – 27 June 1839), popularly known as Sher-e-Punjab or "Lion of Punjab”, and his court, including family members, generals and attendants, the haloed ruler portrayed seated on his renowned Golden Throne, the original throne currently part of the Victoria and Albert Museum’s collection (IS-no. 2518), the scene set within black and blue rules and red borders, 22cm x 30cm.
