*** Victor Walker was Carter’s Insurance agent – from Carter’s Diary ‘ for 9 July notes ‘Saw Victor Walker re. annuity’; and under 14 July he wrote ‘For 1000 per annum pay 13394.1.1 = 9%’. It is known that at least by 1928 he received an annuity of £1000 from the Standard Life Assurance Co.
