A PAIR OF 16TH CENTURY ENGLISH CARVED PINE PANELS, CIRCA 1550

A PAIR OF 16TH CENTURY ENGLISH CARVED PINE PANELS, CIRCA 1550, with a central roundel containing a Tudor rose, the roundel in the form of a garland with four equally spaced saltire cross ties, with two leaf and bud spandrels above, to the base two downward flower heads, small losses to the spandrels, these panels have been reused and the outer framing and the back of the panel has some late re-building and repair to earlier insect damage,

49.5cm high x 40.5cm wide

Provenance: Private London Collection, purchased by the current owner from Shaw Edwards Antiques approximately ten years ago.
