6 Bottles of Chateau Musar, 5 Red, 1 White, from outstanding vintages. Presented in a Chateau Musar wooden valise. 1 Bottle of Chateau Musar Red 1970 - Often compared to exceptional Bordeaux with its dark ruby colours. The nose continues the Bordeaux-esque trend with a cabernet nose that's indicative of Pomerol, but then it's supported by sweetness and exotic spice. The mouth is still concentrate and with a sweetness, the predominant flavour is violets and the end notes are teased with a tannic tickle. 1 Bottle of Chateau Musar Red 1979 - A stunning and coherent colour through out, like the red of a flag against a sunlit sky. The nose is hot, bursting with stewed fig and plum aromas with the smell of turned earth underneath everything. The mouth feels still youthful with good acidity and plenty of alcohol but surrounded by rich red berry fruit and subtle hints of wet stone and straw. 1 Bottle of Chateau Musar Red 1998 - Brick Red in colour. A nose of ripe berry fruits and rich stone fruit underlined by cedar warming spice. The mouth has been described as gamey, graceful, with wheat and raisin; showing excellent aging potential. 1 Bottle of Chateau Musar Red 2002 - Deep, almost blood-red in colour. An intense and complex nose of spice, red fruits, cedar and plummy notes. The mouth is full fruit, Christmas spice, figs, dates and stewed plums. With great acidity and smooth tannins and a long smooth finish. 1 Bottle of Chateau Musar Red 2012 - Dark burgundy colour, a nose of matured stone fruits, plums and figs with liquorice and spicy notes. It has big developed ripe fruit on the nose and a bold taste profile of juicy, black fruits plus mocha and leather and a beautiful lingering finish. 1 Bottle of Chateau Musar White 2009 - a blend of two thirds Obaideh and one third Merwah. These two varieties are native to Lebanon and grow on ungrafted roots unaffected by phylloxera. This wine has superb aging potential. Its nose is full of honeyed tropical fruit aromas and warm buttery notes. The mouth is packed with quince and apricot flavours and a hint of dried fruits and almonds. Fill Levels - Mid Neck (5), High Neck (1). All labels in excellent condition. Sourced direct from Chateau Musar.
