A Victorian sterling silver 'Tenier's' pepper caster, London 1879 by Francis Boone Thomas
Of baluster form upon a domed circular foot, the pull off lid surmounted with a ball finial. The body with embossed decoration in the Tenier’s style, of Dutch scenes of men smoking pipes and drinking libations around a barrel, with houses in the background. The lid similarly embossed with houses, the widows pierced as sifting holes. Fully marked underneath and to lid bezel.
