A TIBETAN BLOODLETTING CHART.

Tibet, 19th Century or earlier.

Tempera on canvas, the central grid with nine sme ba, Tibetan characters representing elements of geomancy, surrounded by eight petals containing trigrams within a band of twelve zodiac animals, each in a separate arcade, below symbols of days of the week, above images of protector deities Manjusri and White Tara, all mounted on silk as a hanging scroll, 50 x 34.5cm.

Provenance: Property from a Private English Collection, predominantly assembled in the 1970s and 1980s.
