A George III Scottish sterling silver teapot on stand, Edinburgh 1767 by James Welsh
Of inverted baluster form upon a spreading circular foot, the cast half-fluted scroll capped spout opposite a wooden C scroll handle pinned to shaped chased scroll sockets. The hinged domed lid surmounted by an affixed pyriform finial. The stand of shaped circular form with cavetto edge and gadrooned rim raised on three pad feet. Each fully marked, the teapot lid unmarked. (2)
