An early 20^th century Burmese unmarked silver flask or bottle, Mandalay circa 1910

Of tapering cylindrical form with a tall neck, the pull-out stopper fitted with cork, surmounted by a finial of a bird perched upon a branch. The body with embossed decoration of figures in traditional costume, all reserved against a chased ‘wallpaper’ foliate scroll background below architraves, the upper section with chased decoration of foliate bands and leafy forms.
