A George III Scottish silver pounce pot, Edinburgh circa 1805 by McHattie & Fenwick

Of cylindrical form with reeded rims and a C scroll loop handle, the pull off domed lid with drill pierced decoration. Engraved to the front with traces of contemporaneous initials JB in cursive script. Maker’s mark only underneath.

Height – 6.1 cm / 2.45 inches

Weight – 57 grams / 1.83 ozt
