A George V sterling silver twin handled bowl, London 1913 by Holland, Aldwinckle and Slater
Of rounded circular form upon a spreading circular foot, the opposable scroll handles with grotesque masks. Each side with a cast and applied C scroll Baroque cartouche engraved to one side with a presentation inscription reading “ Presented to Charles L. Morgan Esq, M. Inst. C. E. by the staff in the Engineer’s Department of the L. B & S. C. Rly. Co. on his retirement from the position of Chief Engineer February 1917”, the opposing cartouche with initials CLM in script. Fully marked to the rim. Upon a turned oak plinth.
