A George III Irish provincial silver chafing dish ring with burner, Cork circa 1780 by Stephen Walsh (master 1768)
the ring of circular form raised upon three scroll legs with shell feet. The central removable burner of cylindrical form supported in a subsidiary ring with three scroll sections. Makers mark SW once to burner base and three times to supporting sections.

A chafing dish and cover marked for Stephen Walsh with the later arms and motto for Westrup, quite probably originally paired with this dish ring, was sold Tennants, 24 March 2011, Lot 532 (£3,500 hammer)
